http://CBStagecoach.com/blog/archive_201904/sort_entrydatetime-desc/ For nearly twenty years, Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS®has successfully spearheaded its annual “Bear Hunt” with the hopes of making holidays brighter for local children in need.  Since the early 1990s, more than 150,000 stuffed animals have been collected and shared with area children struggling with illness or domestic issues. CBDHR’s nine offices cover the San Antonio area and the surrounding Texas Hill Country area, and groups in our communities of service benefit from these donations. Organizations receiving these much-appreciated bears include Santa Rosa Children’s Hospital, Bexar County Child Protective Services, Hill Country Crisis Council, and Kendall County Women’s Shelter. When a child is in protective custody or facing surgery, our donations provide comfort and a bit of joy when they need it most. The Bear Hunt effort officially begins with the Chili Cook-Off, which typically takes place at the end of October. Admission is in the form of a plush toy, and funds raised from the event’s silent auction facilitate the purchase of new stuffed animals. This year, Legacy Mutual Mortgage made the first donation, which they collected from Continued Education fees and presented on Thursday, April 11th. Legacy Mutual Mortgage, a leader in its own right, has been the preferred mortgage lender since 2017, and CBDHR appreciates the company’s early start to this year’s event.[left to right]: Pat Busby, Vice President of Residential Sales at NC/SO; Jennifer Wallace and Jessica Marlar, Loan Officers with Legacy Mutual Mortgage; and Jené Rand, Real Estate Agent at NC/SOCBDHR collects year-round for this event, so your donation is never too early or too late.
